Coming to his senses...

Coming to his senses...

"Don't wait for a crisis to make changes in your life. Step back today, and carefully assess each area of your life: work, family, finances, recreation. The examination of conscience can help assess your spiritual life as well. Then run to your Father, and ask him for his grace. Stay with him and you'll be happier."

Good versus Evil

Good versus Evil

"Everyone has his own idea of good and evil and must choose to follow the good and fight the evil as he conceives them. That would be enough to make the world a better place."

God's Great Creation

God's Great Creation

"Creation is not a property which we can rule over at will.

Creation is a wonderful gift that God has given us to care for

and use for the benefit of all, always with great respect and gratitude."

Stewardship

November, 2015

In this month of Thanksgiving, we all should feel the joy of sharing of time, talent, treasure; sharing not only our money, but also some of our time specifically offered to God, and talent, the special things we can do in his name who gave us these special gifts.

Challenge to be good steward

Challenge to be good stewards

Be clean ... in body and in mind!

Think high, and live up to your thought!

Let every thought word and deed

Be kind and honest, brave and true!

Never refuse another's need,

Do as you'd have him do to you!

Against all evil set your face,

And bravely do your Master's will.

quote from the poet John Oxenham

Prayer: Holy and loving God, help us to be such stewards that you will be able to say to each of us: "Well done, good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your Master" (Mathew 25:21). Amen.

Pope Francis Visits USA

Pope Francis Visits USA

Many of us have had the opportunity to view some or all of the events of Pope Francis visiting the US (first in Washington, D.C., then New York and ending his visit in Philadelphia).  Crowds of people attended the events, Mass at all 3 locations, meeting with UN, meeting with Bishops, visiting the homeless, those that were abused, those in prison, just to name a few of the events.

What a glorious inspiration that Pope Francis is to everyone! It is an amazing time for all of us! Some of our own parishioners actually took the pilgrimage to see the Pope! How exciting! We are truly blessed that he traveled to visit us.

Just want to leave you with a few quotes by Pope Francis:

"We need to see each child as a gift to be welcomed, cherished and protected..."

"Resolve not to be overcome by evil, but to combat evil with good.

"Help One Another This is What Jesus Teaches Us. This is What I Do. And I Do it with My Heart."

Have a wonderful day and week!
